Bragel International, Inc., a Pomona, California based manufacturer of strapless bras, announced that it is suing NY Intimates, Inc., Seomdol Co. Ltd. and Seomdol Europa S.L. for patent infringement. According to Bragel, the defendants sell strapless bras which infringe a newly issued patent relating to a breast form enhancement system.

Bragel is the manufacturer of the wildly successful NuBra, the construction of which is covered by multiple patents. "It is our right to protect our patented invention" said David Chen, VP Operations of Bragel and one of the inventors of the asserted patents. "We have invested a lot of time and money in developing and promoting the NuBra and we intend to fight aggressively to protect our interests."

Bragel is requesting the court to award it the greater of the accused infringers' profits or Bragel's lost sales as well as a permanent injunction precluding sale of the accused products.
